Travel with your Cat?
Felines make great traveling companions, too!
By Elise Phillips Margulis
Felines are traveling more than ever according to an American Pet Products Association poll. Thirty percent of cat owners reported bringing their cats on three or more trips in the car in 2023. The percentage in 2022 was 21%, increasing by 9%. Voyages with kitties via airplane have also risen as 22% have taken their cats on three or more trips with them by plane in 2023, up from 14% in 2022.
They are small and portable, and some prefer being with their humans, rather than staying home alone.
